Ståle Sandbech’s go-to for deep days, the Stale Fish is all about floating through the choppiest of seas. This directional piranha of a board is built with Rome’s Directional Diamond 3D for a powerful, responsive ride that can handle whatever Ståle puts in front of it.
Great for deep powder but can also shred jumps and anything you take it through
I got this board as a pow board and quickly realized it slays all over the mountain. Side hits ✅ groomer layouts ✅ choppy crud ✅ ollies ✅ and of course the floaty surfy pow ✅. A pow board you dont have to switch out to ride the whole mountain.
I was expecting this to be great in pow, but wasn't expecting it to also be so much fun everywhere else. I've been riding this almost every day this season. It's excellent in the powder and when that gets tracked out I can still have a blast the rest of the day without switching out boards. Riding switch, carving hard, hitting side hits, all feel great. Take it through the jump line at the park too, no problem.
I'm selling my other pow boards - this is the one. Anyone who rides mostly in one direction and wants float in pow could make this a one-board quiver.
You guys need to Change your forward lean system on your bindings. If you use lean the pressure created by carving pops those horrible friction flip adjusters open. Bough two DODS a few years back and both pairs would be hanging open at the bottom of every run. Screwed on pair shit with lean maxed, the others I swapped for some boss high backs. Bad for but worked. Went to buy bosses this year and they have changed the locking ladder lean adjuster out for that horrible friction flipper. It looked like the whole binding line uses it now. I called warranty, no reply. Bitched on you insta, no reply!
The new StaleFish board is such a fun pow board, you won't want to ride anything else when it gets deep. I rode this at Mt. Baker last season on a knee deep day, and had a blast. The long nose with 3D rocker kept my tip on top of the snow and that tail just sinks in the deep stuff. I find this board to excel in deeper snow, but still really fun to rip around the resort. It is pretty wide, so I was able to lay down carves on hard pack and it has plenty of pop for rope ollies, and just all around fun. Can't wait for another pow day!
Designed for all-mountain prowess and float in the deep. Rockered in the nose, flat under the front foot, with a positive cambered tail.
Taper 20mm
All-mountain marauders.
Taper is featured in directional boards built with wider noses than tails, helping with agile turns and added float in deep snow.
Designed to increase float in deep snow, improve handling in variable terrain, smooth turn initiation, reduce edge catch and complement all-mountain riding in all-senses.
One single rod of bamboo milled into the boards core in the nose for pressability and playfulness.
Made of carbon, Omegas act as housing built around the HotRods and are designed to provide additonal power and responsiveness.
Fiberglass running in three different axes, built for torsionally rigidity and added snap.
Our most versatile and durable core, built with alternating strips of 20mm strips of poplar and 20mm strips of paulownia.
Fiberglass with two different axes, built to be more torsionally playful and flexible.
The new go-to, this hardworking base is easy to fix with great wax retention. A low maintenance daily driver for riders of all ability levels.
