LEN JØRGENSEN

WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHAT MAKES YOU TICK?
Len Roald Jørgensen aka Lenny Powers aka Lenkovich aka Long Limp Lenny aka Glenn. The Devil is known by many names. And I freaking love to snowboard. Pretty fond of other things as well like skating, camping, building, fixing and hanging out with my dog Ronja. Animals in general make me tick- watching all their different styles and ways of doing things. Birds are insane, all the feathers and noises they make, so beautiful. They can even fly man, who doesn’t want to fly.

WHICH FOOT DO YOU STRAP IN FIRST?
I would consider myself a strap connoisseur (or a high end strapper if you will). No matter what foot you strap first, the most important thing is your strapping zone. A sketchy unstable strapping zone fucks up your flow. So dig that heel edge in and make a nice flat ground. Sitting down is an absolute last resort.

Left foot first, even if I know I will be dropping switch. I’ve always done the ankle strap fully then the toe strap, after countless hours of Ozzy convincing me that doing the toe first is better. His main argument is that your toes won't lift as much, no banana foot. Now I do the ankle strap a little so I know my foot won't move, then toe strap fully and back to the ankle strap again.

Remember kids, snow under your boot is an absolute NO GO!

Sometimes I wish I could forget all this nonsense, strap in and just board.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SNOWBOARD MEMORY? IT CAN BE ANYTHING; FIRST STREET RAIL, BEST TRIP WITH THE HOMIES, WATCHING A SESSION GO DOWN...
Yo, I know I'm spoiled when there're too many good memories. Most of them include trying to find sick transitions– that has always been the best. Landing in a tight transition with the perfect speed and pop.

5-6 years ago, I think it was Ståle, Trym, Eirik and I. A sick crew is always a super start. Early season, so stoke level is through roof. One of the small local hills had opened, produced a lot of snow, but not pushed it out yet. Small and huge whale tails everywhere. Kinda flat so you had to make the gaps perfectly to keep your speed and the tranny finding was on. One of the best days!

WOULD YOU RATHER: HAND-DIG A QUARTER PIPE, BUILD A LOG JIB OR SHAPE A BANKED SLALOM COURSE?
I would put it this way; banked slalom course with some log jibs and a hand dug quarter pipe at the end :) Welcome to Folgefonna Banked Shalom.

But if that wasn't possible, I would go for the quarter pipe. Easiest hike, you can get airtime, hand plants and lip tricks.

IN YOUR OPINION, WHOSE STYLE HAS INFLUENCED YOU THE MOST AND HOW?
Keegan Valaika. Clothes, tweaks, attitude, spots. I think he does the coolest tricks on the coolest stuff looking the coolest. His part in Transworld In Color is just something else.

IF YOU COULD GO BACK TO ANY SESSION, ANY FEATURE, ANY DAY ON SNOW AND JUST TELEPORT THERE TO SHRED, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
Wow another question that reminds me of how spoiled I am. Thank you snowboarding and especially Rome Snowboards for letting me live this dream.

There was a day in the Alps a few years back. Pretty empty resort, great friends and nipple deep runs. Free soup at the bottom and if you wanted to change things up you could borrow a powsurfer. Oh what a tremendous day!

FAVORITE UNEXPECTED PIECE OF GEAR YOU RUN DAILY?
Underwear, who would have thought?
