Libertine Hybrid Boa

The Libertine is designed for rugged, dependable, all-mountain performance and season after season of all-day comfort. New for this year, we overhauled our inner HeelLock Harness for smoother entry and additional ankle and heel hold. With a burly and supportive flex profile, the Libertine is backed with the slip-free performance of the GripLight Outsole with Vibram Icetrek 2.0. The hard-charging Libertine Family is a team favorite thanks to the snug feel of the pack out resistant Ultralon F.I.T. Liner. Perfect for riders who want a supportive, powerful boot for deep landings, high speeds, and must-make situations.

Bad build quality and reliability.

Just after 15 days of riding, the toe cap of the right foot got a hole that water could get inside. I never put my board on the toe of a chairlift, so I am sure that the hole was not caused by my board's edge. And my thirty-two TM-2 boots haven't had such an issue for 4 seasons. The lace quality is also not good, and one of the laces almost broke in 15 days. Now, I have replaced it with twenty-two spare lace.

The positive side is the good heel lock and comfort fit. But you can feel some pressure points, which are not found on TM-2. In general, I like this Libertine Hybrid Boa, but I am just disappointed with this "one-season-boots".

BOA's Always Miss

This is a great boot for someone looking for comfort as well as precision. The hybrid boa gives great heel hold and the laces provide excellent support. The only downside is I like to tighten my boa's all the way to ensure max hold. Because of that, the boa locked up, got stuck, and broke on my foot leading me to deal with getting that sorted out. Now one boot is hybrid and one boot is full lace per say. I still love both boots and for that reason I wouldn't steer you away from buying these guys. Rome did a great job on this boot.

Been riding in this boot for few seasons and see no reason to change!

Best of Both Worlds

After transitioning to a full BOA boot, I wanted to go back to laces for a more customized fit regarding tight/loose areas around my feet for circulation and comfort. The Libertine boot allows me get in and out of the boot without struggle, and it allows me to lock my heels in place without cutting off all the circulation in my feet.

Super Comfortable & No More Heel Lift!

I’ve always been a traditional lace guy. Must be my age. But that changes when I got to try a pair of these Hybrid Boa Libertine boots. With the Boa I am able to crank it down and lock my heel in place, and still able to keep the laces loose and get the softer boot flex that I prefer.
