Why Choose an All Mountain Snowboard?

Why Choose an All Mountain Snowboard?

Some snowboarders don't want to worry about switching boards every day. They just want to strap in, give 'er hell, and enjoy the day. That is exactly where all mountain snowboards come in. Quiver killers, one-board quivers, daily drivers...call them whatever you please. These snowboards are built for daily abuse on anything terrain, feature, or condition you throw at them.

What is an All Mountain Snowboard?

Put simply, all mountain snowboards are built to ride the whole mountain. All mountain snowboards enjoy being on the groomers as much as powder, park, or trees. Here at Rome our all mountain snowboards are specifically created for having fun. Take the Ravine & Women's Ravine for example.

We added Directional Diamond 3D and taper in the nose of these boards. These additions allow for float in powder as well as nimble turning to weave through trees (or slow skiers on the groomers...we don't judge). Our Free-The-Ride Camber and Directional Double Carbon HotRods let boarders load up higher ollies, exit turns with stability, and offer a more forgiving backseat ride. A versatile, low-maintenance SinterStrong Base rounds these boards out so you don't have to worry about waxing every day to get the most out of your board. There's no wonder why our most popular all mountain snowboards are the Ravine and Women's Ravine!

Who are All Mountain Snowboards Meant for?

Solid all-around snowboards that can do it all, all mountain snowboards are meant for riders who don't want to worry about their ride. This is helped by construction like our PowerSlide Base, a low maintenance, easy to fix base so you can just throw your snowboard into your car and hit the mountain at a moment's notice. Bamboo HotRods give a nice touch of pop and stability without making the snowboard overly stiff, a perfect option for beginner riders. Throw those together with our super durable workhouse StompCore and baby you got a stew goin'! These layouts can be seen in our Service Dog and Warden snowboards, perfect options for those who need a bit more pressability in their board or who may just be getting into snowboarding.

Do I Need an All Mountain Snowboard?

We generally suggest all mountain snowboards to anyone who is unsure what exactly they want to do on a snowboard. While there are many beginner friendly all mountain snowboards available, that doesn't necessarily mean all mountain snowboards are strictly for those new to snowboarding. Even top level pros use all mountain boards, as demonstrated by Stale Sandbech

From powder to park, he truly does it all on his Stale Crewzer. Packed with all the tech a medal winning pro could ever need, the Stale Crewzer's Directional Twin shape and Fusion Camber profile make it a blast to ride all day every day. A daily driver for Stale, the team, Rome employees, and customers worldwide: the Stale Crewzer has the all mountain stamp of approval.
